Ours began with a comment on social media in February. It was simple enough, but it sparked months of chasing the perfect shade of purple. The result is the Cape Saint Blaize Amethyst Edition—named after February's birthstone and created as a celebration of curiosity, craftsmanship and the journey from idea to bottle.
Every Amethyst Edition begins long before the gin is poured. Each porcelain ceramic decanter is individually handcrafted, before being carefully hand-filled, hand-labelled and finished by hand at our distillery in Mossel Bay. No two bottles are ever exactly alike.
Inside is a completely new expression of Cape Saint Blaize Gin. A layered botanical profile brings together the unexpected—hand-picked olives, delicate rose geranium, ripe fig, Madagascan vanilla, classic juniper, warm spice, and a subtle saline finish that lingers long after the last sip.
Produced in limited numbers, the Amethyst Edition is a reflection of what we value most: thoughtful craftsmanship, distinctive flavour, and the beauty of making things by hand.
